On November 14, 2020, the first civilian died while exercising their right to protest in Peru. This event occurred within the context of the protests in Peru in 2020 were a series of nation wide demonstrations and unrest triggered by the declaration of presidential vacancy due to moral incapacity of the Peruvian President Martín Vizcarra. 
To control protest actions, the police used pellets and rubber bullets, as well as tear gas. The abuse of police force triggered a series of violence against vulnerable people who were exercising their rightful right to protest.
This illustration intends to represent this unjust and terrifying event, years later justice has not been served for this incident.
